Just fitted my replacements.  As expected, white props are perfect with no play.  Red props had too much play.

Tried the foam inserts in the red props and found that there was still too much play.  Took out the foam inserts and tried the vinyl tape and the result was perfect.  No play whatsoever, matching the white props.

Fired up the inspire on idle just to check that all sounded OK, which it was.  Just need some decent weekend weather now to give it a fly.

For those readers in the UK, the 10p piece is a perfect size to use as the template to cut out the vinyl tape shim
My thanks to Henry for the fix

Hello Rich,

I used one foam insert  in cw prop and tape shim.  I also tried a cw prop with no foam insert and had no play.

Thank you for following up. Sounds great and the tape shim is all you need. (Thanks Henry)
I have not moved forward yet with mine, no time.

Sounds like we have two of you that the tape shim is the best solution per Henry's suggestion.  Thank you so much for sharing the results with us and hope you get some good weather to fly soon.

Hi Nigpd, you're welcome!

It's my pleasure to offer my little helps here.

I also learned a lot from Fellow Pilots and DJI forum moderators here.

Happy flying.

Is this a new modification for the insprie 1 v2 ?? as this is confusing ??

I am sO freaking confused with DJI shenanigans. My Inspire 1 PRO is a year old. Do I need to worry about these?

The new hubs come with foam plugs. Can you indicate where these are used?

Use them inside the bottom of the prop. Used if the connection is loose.

Only if you want to.
This is a "new and improved" design from DJI to address the occasional "fly away" and loose fit of the 1345T propeller.

Thanks, all my props sit tight... Why are they called props and not rotors???

Question should I be using more thread locker? There is thread locker already on the small screws.

Hi LP

When you decide to do maintenance over 200 flights, these can be changed - upgraded to the new style. Or you can do this earlier and not wait. They are a very nice improvement to the old versions. IMO they are worth upgrading and appear to be a stronger solution. They have stopped selling the old version in favor of the new ones.

It's up to you

I received new 1345LS sets from the USA shop that had the foam inserts included.

Thank you DJI for excellent customer service and understanding.

I just installed mine. I also noticed that the red props have some slight play! So I inserted the foam into those the white props seem seems fine.  Idled for around 5 minutes no noise

Good job, that is great news.  I saw your other post regarding the Loctite ... yes you need to use the Loctite 243 in addition to the blue stuff that are on the screws.   Sorry I am late to answer and hopefully this is what you ended up doing.

Hi everyone. I have an inspire 1 Pro and i had its first flight yesterday since November last year.
It has been stored in my bedroom inside its case where it has always been stored sibce i purchased it.
I have never had any issues with the props since i purchased the unit last June.
However, after doing all the usual firmware updates and preflight checks, the drone took off perfectly.
Within 2mins it went into automatic landing procedure and just landed in a field. Luckily where it landed was flas and clear as i had no control over its descent.
My app indicated “motor/s overheating”. On inspection, i found both red props rattled like hell when i spun the motors, yet when i took the props off, the motors spun smoothly and showed no sign of damage.
DJI? How can propellers go from working fine, to not fitting correctly???
They are they exact same props i have used since purchasing the drone. Surely the plastic must have expanded or something, thats the only explanation i can think of.
Now i dare not fly my £3000 drone through fear it will just land anywhere with me having no control over it.
Any ideas people because DJI seem to do their usual “by giving no feedback” on thrir drone issues”. Thankyou in advance.

Hi, i just want to add something regarding my previous thread.
I have been flying DJI technology since my first Phantom 1. So i am a big fan of DJI, and their position in the world when it comes to design and technology.
I also fly the Mavik and the Phantom advanced, so i did not want anyone to read the thread and think i was being negative or totally against DJI.
My last flight in November with my Inspire 1 Pro was only the 5th flight since purchasing the drone in june. It was returned to DJI after they replaced the camera/gimble as it had stopped initialising on start up.
That being said, i still think their drones are unbeatable at present.
Myself, and i guess like everyone on these forums who put their well earn cash into buying their drones, would just like to see abit more input from the people who actually designe these products and give more feedback on the forums of which i am sure they read.
