DJI have started to push sets of 1345LS prop locks.  These appear to be similar in design to the Inspire 2 mounting plates.  Does anybody know the difference and are these being touted as an upgrade due to a known issue with the durability of the standard Inspire 1 V2 and Pro mounting plates?

This is simply DJI changing part numbers within the Inspire 1 series.

The 1345LS prop locks  available at this link -> Click here for the 1345LS Quick Release mounts

were formally called the Inspire 1  1345T Propeller Installation Kit and was previosly available in the store at http://store.dji.com/product/inspire-1345t-propeller-installation-kit

The 1345LS was added to the series with the release of the Inspire 1 V2, Pro, & Raw and supports the 1345T and 1360T Inspire 1 Props...

I beg to differ.
There is a clear difference, this is not just a part number change.

Thanks Aeromirage, I stand corrected; the LS kit does have a new base and different upright posts. Thanks for the pictures!!! Looks like the base adds additional locking, requiring a squeeze to unlock.I missed DJI-Mindy's post -> http://forum.dji.com/thread-81140-1-1.html

Terry, these mimic the new Inspire 2 style hubs. The offer a metal locking tab the presses into the base. I believe this is a very nice improvement. There was nothing wrong with the original hubs, but this is a nice change. I will be changing out my hubs, they are due for replacement.

All the best

Useful answers guys.  I'm coming up to a maintenance cycle so think I'll make the switch then.

performed the upgrade to the LS on a inspire 1 v2.0. Appreciate the locking feature. Any potential for the extra rotational mass to have a nominal impact on performance?

Per the 1345LS mounting plate store link, they support the 1345T/1360T Quick Release Propellers:

They go inside the prop hub, to allegedly reduce/eliminate the red prop movement phenomenon.

They didn't work for me.  I used a vinyl tape shim to fix the loose red prop issue

I used a couple thin coats of nail polish. Red locks are rock solid now.

The foam is useless.  It does not stop the prop movement.  I tried thin piece of tape over the hubs, but it was too thick.  Did something similar to what Nigpd suggested. Just put the tape on the bottom section on both sides of the hub and it took care of the issue.  I'll probably cut some neater fitting pieces and use them under all four props, just for balance.

As an aside here, is the blue stuff that comes on the screws enough to hold the mounts on of do you still need to use the liquid screw locker.
