Got a surprise when I started the P4P IMU calibration after its firmware update. One has to place the copter on different sides including front and back, and upside down for the calibration. I wonder if the surface the copter sat on needs to be near level as with the old calibration scheme? Edit: There was no mention of it in the manual BTW.

Yes It has to be absolutely level. You can check my previous post. It apply for both P4P AND P4P+

I see this will make calibration much more difficult  than just making the copter itself level.
