I have E800 latest version, N3 latest version,  Futaba S-BUS receiver, got two Errors,
"ESC exception error - contact tech help"   and  "CompassMagnetic error"

The Compass I guess I have to calibrate??     The ESC error I have no idea how to correct.  I thought the "intelligent ESC's" would help?

Just to clarify, are all components up to date with the latest firmware? Which version of the Assistant 2 Software are you running?

Thanks,

Try restoring the N3 to factory settings. After that, try to redo your ESC settings and see if the message reappears.

I figured it out.  The E800 ESC's are NOT "intelligent" ESC's. When I turned off "intelligent ESC"  in Assistant the Error went away.  Thanks for your Help.

Chris

Am I correct about the E800 ESC not being of the Intelligent type?

When I review the product page for the E 800 motors, there is no mention of it being an intelligent type. However, as all information is good, I would encourage you to download the manual which you can get here: http://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/e ... _Manual_v1.0_en.pdf

Also, check out the E800 Assistant Software which is here: http://www.dji.com/e800/info#downloads

Both points will help you maintain your aircraft to run at the highest standard.
