Tested out C-DNG mode yesterday.  Coming from the build it yourself mentality I can't say enough positive things about the flight characteristics and features.  DNG, Spotlight Pro, Tripod Mode, 22 min flight time in winds gusting to 26mph... and rock steady.  This bird has truly changed everything I thought previously about rtf drones.  I had a lot of problems with customer service, felt extorted on the prices of accessories and ssds, dare I say it was all worth it.  Could really use that focus wheel though.

When I have shot on my CINESSD and shoot RAW - I get a folder full of DNG files.  How do I make them into a clip I can edit in FCPX?

I don't use FCPX, I use premier, but in reality this is a raw file which requires a program to manipulate the raw parameters.  I use DaVinci.  It is free, and there are loads of tutorials online to get you up and running.  Premiere has some functions to do raw, and apply a LUT (short for lookup table - it is basically a saved color profile or "look" if you will. I feel like premiere is clumsy and inefficient.  You are better off baking in a look in DaVinci and exporting into some semi-lossless codec (usually pro-res) to put into a program like FCPX or Premiere.

Very good!  How long did this process take?  I suppose in ProRes on  SSD - then downloaded to PC - then edit - grade - export....  How long and what did the output file looked like that you saw??

I use dng...so there is no color space baked in.

Download Fulle 120gb card - 5:23
Import media into Davinci - :02
scrub through clips, trim to length 3:00 ish
Adjust lift and gain to fill out waveform 2:00
add new serial node and apply a LUT. ( I knew what LUT would work good from previous Experience) :15
Export preset vimeo settings  2:25
so what is that 12 minutes....

he says Cinema DNG it is a raw format and there is no color setting
