Just received a new set of props from DJI Europe I've just tried them they work perfectly, how have foam inserts and the number 2 on them as others have mentioned.

Good to hear it got sorted.

How did you get them? Order new ones or did they just replace them. I tried to do a ticket on them and they wanted me to send the I2 back!

DJI-Jamie sorted it for me he contacted DJI Europe they email me just wanted my address then sent me new props.

Didn't ask me to send back the old props or the Inspire 2 as has happened to a couple of my friends the UK needless to say they didn't send then back.

that's great news and looks like the issue will be in the rearview mirror now. Maybe the others will get the new version 2 props also

Tried out the new props this morning work perfectly no problems at all

Hi Arrow. I have just received my Inspire 2 and flown it (briefly) only twice. I have two sets of props - none have foam inserts or the number 2 on them. Can you please post an image of the new props for positive identification?

Only the white dot props have the number 2 on them.

Good news...

And we now have a new version 3 props and new locking devices for both red and white!!!!!

From my discussions the fault has been in the height of the locking clips the white was too high and the red too low. In fact if you use the White on both motors it improves things by a factor of 10 on the red.  the difference is in millimetre so its easy to find (CLUE HERE DJI)

Im waiting for delivery will post photos when they arrive. These  are not coming from DJI but from the production plant in Shenzhen. ( happy i speak Mandarin now)

For me i'm in no panic i have two sets of props after sorting through  so many options of those supplied in the various boxes i was sent. My big issue is the balance is crap on all sets and spent some hours fixing these. How we balanced these will be another thread once we have time. But basically we took a White prop mount and attached to a well known prop balancing frame and worked from there. Of the 24 props we have in total less than 25% passed even the basic balance test.   

In my team we now have 6 off I2. we found that fixes for one was not good for all.. so we sat and exchange props and we all ended up with two sets each for most of us . This obviously points to other items that are involved such as the base clips and springs. White props are easy to fix but the red props are  always the challenge.


Okay DJI this is a new product so some manufacturing issues are expected. But don't let the end users find the problems for you...........unless you want to pay the costs of course but i don't come cheap

I just balanced my props using a Du-Bro's Tru-Spin Prop Balancer I have used for many years on my RC planes wasn't an issue at all did all 4 in about 10 minutes.

I am using this one for years as well...but how do you mount the prop on them?

I have the the rattle on my red props as well after 10 flight...the props are very loose now...@DJI-Jamie could you help me with this please?

for now I did the white/ red hubmix mod and this is great
I also put some thin clear tape on the middle nob of the hub...this makes a much tighter fit on all props now

I recently bought a pair of props which allredy have the foam...but serioulsy,  this is not a fix of the problem....its about 7mm of soft  foam...this is not holding anything in place for a longer period of use!

Have you gotten in contact with the Europe Support team via support.eu@dji.com to get started with a claim? That would ensure that you have a complete set of working props.
