I just used my Osmo Mobile today and when I pulled up the DJI Go app, I couldn't find the Osmo section (I have a Phantom Standard drone that I had used recently, and the app was set on that). So I just turned on my iPhone camera and to my surprise my iPhone's built-in video camera app was working with Osmo without me having to use the DJI app! This is great because I found the DJI app cumbersome and not very easy to use (especially when it came to dowloading videos to my PC, etc). Was this always an option and I just never tried it before? Or did it come with a recent update (because I have seen alot of complaints about the DJI app).

You probably activated the account when you set up your drone. BTW, Filmic Pro has rather nicely integrated Osmo Mobile controls, and Mavis claims that they are working on it. DJI is smart and created nice software interface for other apps to work well with the gimbal - smart.
