Quick comparison between 14/42mm M.ZUKIO (wide and full zoom) untouched in photoshop other than layering them together and reducing the 42mm image into perspective on the 14mm image.

Got it too. It's a pity the zoom cannot be control on the DJI GO app. that would have been awesome.

Thats odd, DJI-Jamie said in another post that lens is supported, I dont understand why there is no zoom control... I have been wanting this lens.

I do not see any control, unless it's hidden somewhere.

Electronic zoom on the right in go4 app, I'll do a screen shot a bit later for you.

I do not see anything on the Go4 app. I have seen the zoom before with the Z4 on the Inspire 1, but I cannot see anything on the Inspire 2's screen

It only shows on screen when you have the lens attached. I have added 2 screen shots 14mm and 42mm zoom highlighted in red rectangles.

Edit: This has turned into my Homer Simpson moment.  I need to read my lense more carefully.  45mm is fixed of course!  DOH!

Thanks,

Is the zoom mechanical i.e. the barrel is turning or is it electronic i.e. just magnifying the photo?

What balancing ring are you using with that lens?

Hi Rodger. Mechanical zoom (barrel does not turn but simply extends in and out)

@14mm the lens extends out by about 25mm from original postion
Approxmatly 21mm to 26 mm it retracts to 22mm extension
And @ 42mm it extends all the way out to just over 26.3mm

I have a 37 to 46 step up adapter (6grams) and use a selection of ND or clear 46mm polar pro filters (6grams)

With the Weight of the Lens 93g plus adapter and filter 12g giving a total of 105g which I think is close enough for the gimbal to handle.

Given a bit of foresight I would have possibly have gone for the (OLYMPUS : M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II) which is 112g only 3grams off target!! Plastic shade 'BOOOOM' your right on the money!!!! but the (OLYMPUS : M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ)Still this lens in nice for going in the pocket with a 4/3's camera ;)
Hope this helps
Karl

Thanks. I am going to wait and see if they come out with a higher capacity battery to make up for the loss due to the weight.

I was a bit foolish to only get 6 extra batteries when I had the chance! (should have got 10)

For the Olympics opening ceremony video we shot in Rio De Janeiro we had 12 batteries for the X5Raw Inspire 1 and we brought three chargers. One of the days i Flew 18 packs in total.
That was the longest dron day I ever had. 5am first flight and 23:05 landed last flight. With about 7 location changes within rio.

Proud to have been part of that shoot. Hey maybe I set some world record there with views. Think they said 3.9 Billion people saw the opening ceremony.
