I remember the fun on snowy or icy roads we had as kids, with something we called Bumper Riding.

When a car or city bus was slowing down for the stop sign or turning a corner, we would sneak up and grab onto the rear bumper and go for a slippery ride, sliding along in our winter boots, down the road.


Sometimes we could go for several blocks, without letting go.

That was where I got my first thirst for speed.  
Foolishly risking our life or limbs, all in the name of cheap thrills. ;-)

That's pretty harsh, for a kids fun and games. We were all young once. Or twice. Hahaha
Then there are those of us that ever grew up. ;-) Or was it an adult doing the stunting...?

I can now understand the dangers of the situation, where someone could be injured or worse, but back then, we only had the excitement of the feeling we were flying... The thrill of the moment. It rocked.


How much was the fine? More than an old E ride ticket at a Walt Disney park?  ;-)

That was a long time ago. I think in my early 20's and I'm 56 now. Can't remember what the fine was but pretty sure it was more than I had at the time . lol   Oh and I was the driver with my friends hanging on the back.

I enjoy having fun, even still at my elder age.

But we learn where and when to play, keeping out of trouble along the way.


Too bad the establishment has utilized this way to take our money. It's a monetary thing.
Nothing to do with our good health. Only a money grab, much like red light cameras.

They have become more greedy over the years, & as tobacco use has decreased they have devised new systems to tax our limited and stretched funds. Never ending with their palms out.
