Real nice... Keep an eye on those pesky birds... They love drones.

Also it seems that you were out of focus and dark???  but overall beautiful scenery... I would suggest using COURSE LOCK for next time. You can get really dramatic shots with it.

thanks dronist yeh the sea gulls will turn aggressive soon as mating
season is not far away lol the first flight was before the sun came up
it was real dark but when I saw the pinkish sky I just went for it
then when the sun came up it flooded with a strong orange colour
I had to put a lot of contrast in to counter it. iv not used course lock
for a while now as its sensitive to operate I should have another stab at it
thanks man

Course lock good if you really know that you wont hit anything.   I might try it at a sunrise shoot I will do at 10200 feet.
Actually there is a nearby mountain I will ask permission to climb that is at 10,000ft, so can climb another 1500ft.

Being way above the mountains is nice knowing you won't crash into them lol

Course lock is simply allowing  you to stay in straight line like a zip line, you can turn the camera view in different  direction BUT the drone goes in one direction. You can move back ans forth and hover so it is NOT AUTONOMOUS.

I try to fly when the wind is at it's lowest speeds.  But I've had flights where speeds were 21mph and the drone handled it fine.  If I do have wind I tend to fly headwind into it.  Have had speeds of the drone doing RTH with the wind behind it doing 37mph on the return home I was with a friend who decided to to a 2km distance test on his P3S. It was quite windy at the peak where we were launching so I decided to land my drone. His flight went well all in all. But in the mountains wind gusts could catch you out if not careful.

yeh iv done some flights with winds hitting 20mph last year when
i was on holiday the p3 did handle good in the winds but i try not
to make a habit of it lol

I don't think I worded it correctly though sorry about that
I want to install the djigo4 app for when I buy a p4p next year or in two years time
my intention is to have an early version of the app on my ipad mini 2
then kill the wifi on the ipad again so its an early version of djigo4
that way I don't have all this upgrade FW bug nonsense
I only need to install the app the now so its there when I need it
in a years time   unless there is no way to kill FW on the p4p
like I have done on my p3p in that case am fecked lol
thanks Cetacean I hope all is good with ya buddy

Aloha Toorboy,

That makes sense.  Mahalo for the update.  Right now, they are still working out the kinks.  DJI GO 4 is an extremely demanding app.  You will have to have a very new tablet to run any version in a year.  Feel free to PM me questions, but with the instability of the medium it may take time to get back to you.  We should still keep trying the PM, they improve on everything else!

Aloha and Drone On!

You get about a bit, don't you Toorboy?

You mind me asking which part of God's country you are from - I'm from just the other side of Aberdeen originally.

As well as West Coast Scotland, I'll be filming around the NE when I go to visit my parents - and another similar cliffside castle - Slains, up at Cruden Bay.

Or have you done that one too?

There is a 3rd cliffside castle in the NE - Findlater Castle, near Sandend.

Will also hopefully film Dunluce Castle in Co' Antrim when I get back from offshore work.
