Can anyone tell me what the average down range distance is with the Phantom 3 advanced?

The manual says 3.1 miles in a perfect environment.  Not sure if that's what you're looking for...

There is no average because the range is affected by your local environment.
The numbers quoted in DJI's specs are legitimate and can be achieved in a good interference-free area (like out to sea or in the desert).
But fly in the city and it will be significantly less.

Best I have gotten so far is 8000 feet,  some trees in the signal path. Never have flown in a clear area. YMMV

A very long way ! - I've seen over 4km, using a totally stock out of the box Advance.

Well for me it depends on conditions very much. Sometimes i only get 600m but my record is 2200m. My average is maybe 1000m. And i live in EU so, i have CE signal.
