Recently, I noticed that I have a jelly effect on my footages. I decided to chat with technical support to find out how to fix it. Technical Specialist Mike recommended to install the lastest firmware and do gimbal colibration after. I immediately proceeded with update. I downloaded WM610_FW_V01.10.01.40.bin and put it on microsd card. After successful update of my inspire I started the copter and noticed that there is not signal on the screen. Then I saw that the gimbal was not moving and the camera is not facing forward.
Now, the solution the technical support is offering is to send it for repair.

Did you update the RC transmitter as well ?   Depending on  how many updates were skipped ( which is fine ) will determine If the RC will work with the current FW on the aircraft. .  If you also updated the RC transmitter to 1.7.6 via the Go app you may simply need to do a re link with the RC and the AC. ( also the communication can just sometimes get lost for no apparent reason even if you Update the AC and RC properly, then just re link as well.  )

Can you list the Current firmware on the RC ? Or if you have not updated it to 1.7.6 please do so , then you may need to re link the Ac to The RC ( This is done with the entire system ON  and is located on the "Remote control settings" of the go app , in blue lettering Linking remote control  , make sure you can find the Red link button inside the fuselage of the aircraft , just behind the top right  silver nose cone screw  of the aircraft, you do NOT need to take anything apart to find it , may need a flashlight though )  as well.

You own  the Inspire 1 with x3 camera correct ?
ALWAYS UPDATE THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE THE RC TRANSMITTER AS WELL

If you update the AC and the RC to the lates Firmware for each 1.10 for the AC and 1.76 for the RC  and get that message ( gimbal disconnect )  usually you just need to do an IMU calibration followed IMMEDIATLY  by a camera gimbal calibration .

The cause is because I think the aircraft with the new firmware does not recognize the camera/gimbal  until you are sure to update the RC and then do a IMU and Camera gimbal calibration .  I have seen this several times before.  It has nothing to do with the gimbal being actually "disconnected " it is just not recognized with the new firmware.

I have exactly the same problem on Inspire raw, so I've downgraded my aircraft to 1.8.
Every update of Inspire is worse, the best firmware all the time was 1.2 with no issues at all, but it's gone

Can you re-install any old FW? I'm on 1.10 and want to go back to 1.8.

I had a chat with DJI online support and they said that it's not possible to go back to 1.8.

Is this true?

Sorry that cannot be done .......Believe me I have tried every  workaround possible .  You can only go back ONE in the series, so like in your case. 1.10 can go back to ONLY 1.9 .

sorry mate

Aw man, that sucks! 1.9 was horrible and 1.10 doesn't look to be much better.

I didn't want to upgrade, a technician did it when I took it in for a repair.
