If that's the case, wow. That feature was a glaring problem on the first OSMO and I would have expected for it to be fixed in the upgrade. As it has been pointed out, it should not be an issue for the sensor to record @1fps in 4K, not to mention 1080p. Heck, even most good smartphones can do that. Really a bummer and makes little sense. It's not like the X3 is a really high quality camera anyway, lots of compression issues with pixelating and a poor dynamic range.
I was looking for a compact camera to accompany my Mavic on a trip and ended up getting a secondhand Blackmagic pocket cinema camera. Of course it'll lack the stabilization capabilities, 4K and slow-mo, but the 10-bit RAW image takes the cake. |
