Took my Mavic on a hike in the mountains yesterday.

Very Nice!  Really enjoyed that.

Outstanding footage!  Loved the rise over the ridge and then the view into the valley below.  Great job.

Fantastic footage! looks really nice, although you seem to have a slightly blurry right bottom corner in your footage?

Kind of wished I lived in a beautiful place like this. Looks cold though.

Spectacular! Thanks for sharing.  I took my Mavic to the Spanish Pyrenees last week and due to the tremendous flight restrictions for UAVs in Spain, I'm had to leave it in its case.  Very jealous.

Nice video. I guess I would be afraid that the Mavic could suffer a malfunction and looking at the distance that you went, if it fell, wouldn't it be a bummer to try and find it?

I had a Taco_RC ND16 filter on.

Good eye. It was actually quite warm...+19F. I have flown at -20F . The shutter was my lack of piloting skills enhanced when I sped the footage up on my timeline. Should have left it alone in retrospect.

Yes, I have flown in some tough conditions before. Once, I flew around a Lighthouse and if something went wrong I would have lost my Mavic at sea.  I guess you have to take risks for the footage.

Great Vid!  FYI I also did some Mavic flights skiing at about 4K feet.  The KEY lesson I learned ...always film/fly DOWNHILL never uphill from where you are unless you like a 2mile hike to recover your Mavic. Much easier to ski down to it   Fly aways on mountain tops are never a fun experience.

For this flight I put it on auto exposure with .7 EV, WB sunny, Cinelike profile. ND filters do make a difference when it is so bright out.
I did some minor color correction in post, mainly fixed the contrast.

Thanks, had to fix the whites in post. All cameras tend to make snow grayish. Been working around it for years living here in Alaska
