Thanks, had to fix the whites in post. All cameras tend to make snow grayish. Been working around it for years living here in Alaska

OHHH! I thought that maybe there was a snow setting now. Actually what happens is in Auto Exposure the  Camera sees the Snow as very bright and under exposes the scene. the fix is a 1 1/2 stop over exposure.

The batteries lasted about 18 minutes each. That is how much video I recorded and I typically start recording right after take-off. Temperatures were +19F. Pretty warm for this winter.

Very nice video! Why do you suppose the video @1:30 is jumpy when you did the reveal? I've seen some video do this on other youtube videos also.  Curious if its compression or perhaps frame rate and slower drone speed needed?

I was filming 4K 24fps in Cinelike mode. I was using a ND16 filter. I export the sequence from Premiere Pro to 1080p before uploading to YouTube.

You are correct. Depending on the scene I usually overexpose .7 to 1.5 stops. Sure wish we had metadata with video.

It takes time to learn that technique but it works well and makes a huge difference in the final shot.

Wyoming has the same thing, I was riding a 4-wheeler there and looked at my GPS....I was at 9800ft!

For photographers and drone pilots there is certainly no shortage of possibilities around here. We just have to wait out the weather sometimes.

Yeah, that was my goal...to get to the weather station. Been getting weather from there all winter and did not know where it was exactly.

Right......and in the cold! It has been a very cold winter with lots of snow here. Mavic has done well.
