Today I just got my first drone, the P4 from Bestbuy. The Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70F doesn't fit in the RC holder bracket. If I slide it through it may feet but it's obvious it is going to damage the protective foam. Do you have any advice?

Putting the tab in sideways it should not be too big for the remote. I have a 10 inch Galaxy Tab A and it fits fine, I do squeeze the clamps as tight as possible because I don't want to watch it fall out and shatter. Even so doing that my Tab has worked perfectly for past 4 months with no damage.

Not mine. I just brought an iPad Air 2, almost the same size but this one fits without any issue. It has to be 2-3 mm smaller.

Good choice to get the Air 2, it performs better than just about any other device.
