Hello,

This has happened to me now twice. I did not post about if the first time but now here goes. At random I have noticed my gimble slowly very slowly drift (pan) from left to right. This last time was when the mavic was grounded. I do not have video of this. I tried gimbal calibration after the first time this happened also.

Any ideas??

Could you please clarify your current firmware version?
Please try to do the IMU calibration on a complete flat surface then do the gimbal calibration again.
If convenient, please post some videos of the gimbal issue for better assistance.

I guess it is the same issue I am having with my mavic?
Made a thread about it a while ago, but never got a moderator to help me:

Still happens on the latest firmware (v01.03.0500) and I did the IMU and the compass calibration several times.

Mindy I have the latest firmware. I will try IMU calibration. Have never done that one. Same issues as Daishi posted

I have the issue as well, but I thought it was normal gimbal behaviour (correcting itself.. but slowly ...to avoid messing your shot).

However, it causes big problems if you're doing long exposure shots at night.

This happens randomly to me as well. Gimbal calibration, IMU calibration nor compass calibration has helped.

I have checked your thread.
Since you have tried all basic troubleshooting, if still no improvement, I'd suggest you to send it in for further evaluation.

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately I will be on holiday for three weeks starting next week and I want to take my mavic with
me.
I guess I will send it in when I am back, but I am still hoping on a firmware fix as I don´t believe it is a hardware problem. Everything else is working flawless...

I cannot sure if it's the hardware issue or software issue.
It's better to let our engineers to evaluate it.
Hope you enjoy your holiday.

What's your gimbal pitch smoothness setting? It'll have to be connected to the Mavic to check.

I guess I will send it in when I am back. In the next weeks I need it for (hopefully) taking awsome footage

I don´t have the drone with me right now, but I tried differnt settings between 0 and around 20.
Unfortunately it had no effect on the drift.

I have also mentioned this before and shared video.  Mine occurs occasionally during flight, literally can slant and correct in the same flight.  It is not constant.  From what I have noticed on this forum sending in the unit is the kiss of death.  So I just deal with it, and cull the shots that get screwed up.  Also hoping it is firmware.  I do have the latest firmware.

I just saw a thread in another forum with numerous people having the same issue.
It looks like the yaw drift happens since firmware .400. It was definitely better in .300 and before.
Unfortunately it is not possible to downgrade to .300 anymore...
