this week i made my first test flights with my new P4 (newest firmware).
the video quality is very poor, the video compression is very noticeable, i can see pixelation and color artifacts, the color bit depth is so low i can see the graduates in the sky color.
the image is very soft and when i try to add sharpness it looks awful.
here are some images i've exported from a video in hi quality (high quality video would be to big but i can also upload that)

I have tried to read and view some guides and tried those suggestion:

1- disable 3d NR
2- use low iso (the iso is 100)
3- use fast shutter (the shutter in image 3 is 60)
4- use d-log (image 1 and 2 are d-log)
5- lower the style settings (the settings in all images are -2 -2 -2)

if i compare the video quality to my gopro 4 black the P4 is much worse.
the video is 60mb/s but it looks like 5mb/s

I spent 1500$ hoping to get results like i saw in P4 demo videos online but this is not even close.
i am so frustraten and i'm hoping i am doing something wrong or that my P4 is faulty.

Don't use dlog the codec is very weak...use art or none

Manual white balance 5600k
Style custom +0 -1 +0
Colour none
Using a dji ND8 FILTER 30 fps 1/60 sec shutter in sunlight...ND filter is a must have.

Not perfect yet but miles better than the first footage i took when i got my p4 a month ago...the nd filter makes all the difference slowng the shutter speed makes the video much smoother and more filmic looking

The last video i took was late afternoon with shutter 60, still, it doesn't look better than my phone

I had to go through 3 SD cards before I found one that gave me good video. Not that this the problem here.I ended up buying a SanDisk Extreme Pro 64GB. Sorry for the dumb question but are you taking the video directly from the SD card and not your phone?

Try clicking on one of the grabs you posted then zoom in. Can you really tell anything from that shot?
If you seriously want people to help make a quality judgement, then post a short section of un-edited video on Dropbox.

I will do that, all videos i took until now are 10min + long, hopefully i will take a shorter video today and post it here

it doesnt look very good, there are some flickering and a lot of artifacts

Then i think you need to buy a p4pro
With a 1inch sony sensor...i know there is some flickering a i say its work in progress

I was at the store where I bought the P4 and they told me that the camera sensor is defective , i'm now waiting for a new Phantom 4 ...

I've posted this before and it's a little old now but this may very well help those get the best image from the P4/P3

There is no difference in quality between the two, they both use H264. So MP4 or MOV makes no difference, users choice really as to whether they will be mostly viewing in Mac or PC environment. I use MP4 as it is most commonly used across PC and Web.

So i managed to collect some footage from friend that also have the phantom 4 and my conclusion for now is that that the quality of the camera is crappy and sad. i thought i could use a 1000$ drone for professional videos but i'm a shamed giving my customers videos that looks like a cheap webcam or dashboard cam.
the resolution is fine, the datarate is reasonable, but the sharpness and color depth are disgrace.  the store will not return my money because I've opened it and there is no warranty for product quality so i have to sell it as used now and lose money.
