Why is dji go 4 using outdated google maps?
There could be problems with newly built houses or other new obstacles!

     DJI does not use Google Maps at all anymore.  DJI changed to "Here WeGo" satellite imagery (HereWeGo.com).  In both cases images are usually updated every year or two.  

     When you fly, you should not depend on the "Map View" or satellite imagery because even under the best circumstances it is not consistent.  Google Earth, who has been at it the longest, sometimes uses satellite images five or more years old because they give the best image - at least where I live.  They even have an option that allows you to look at the history of Google images for an area (2000 to present).

     I need reliable satellite imagery for the jungle mountains where I fly, but often have to work around the loss in quality.  But, it can be done.  If you can fly DJI products, you can figure it out.
