I just noticed "flight distance" under my moniker on this forum. What's this about and how is it determined?

I agree. It's not even close. Then why do they do this?  Answer from moderator please. I know you're watching. What are the parameters on flight distance. We need to know! In Realtown Aviation experience is recorded in "hours", not distance.

It is accurate per the last update and in Metrics.. Not imperial.. at least for me it is..

I see your distance as 281,249. That's awesome. What does that equate to? I'm not trying to be snippy, just trying to figure how these figures are arrived at. Thanks and happy flying.

Yes, me too. But I am a curious person and this may cause insomnia if I cannot get an answer on what the parameters are for "flight distance". If you are not interested then there is no reason for you to interject negatively. I'm looking for positive feedback, not negative. I am not complaining. I am just asking for a simple explanation. Lol, it's fine the forums have me pegged at 922,732 feet (converted from meters)  but I have flown 932,722 feet at this point..  I don't think you were snippy at all.. I love the fact they are giving these stats..

Yep. The "flight time" statistics are bogus. Then why are they there? Moderator please chime in. I demand that they be deleted (so funny). as they are not valid statistics and reflect on forum members without merit.

I don't see it on mine. I must be lucky.

I wasn't saying it was wrong, I just don't think they update it every time you fly. And it isn't flight time they show. I like the feature. It helps me know who has some flight time with phantoms under their belts.

     If you think about it, the only way they have any numbers at all is if your system is synced to the DJI servers.  Apparently, I have not synced my flight records with the DJI servers in quite a while.  On top of it all, my flight records (including distances flown) were erased when my tablet operating systems (Android) were upgraded on my two tablets.  Oh well.

     The distances flown are most likely from flight records synced with the DJI servers.  Look at my flight distance.  I almost never sync my flight records with the DJI servers, maybe even as long as one year ago.  It seems to show in my distance flown.

     Come to think about it, the last time I tried to sign in to the DJI network from my tablet, I was locked out.  Never went back.  Maybe that is why my numbers are so low?  Hmm?

I think it is a lame attempt at DJI to goad people into "participating" to compete...

Along the same lines of the number of "likes" someone gets on posts... Again an ignorant metric that only the vain and truly worthless even care about, since none of it matters at all, at any time, in any existence, for any reason, other than to stroke the ego of the insignificant.

This is why I'm sync mine. I can sync my data back up after I reinstall software. Also if someone is paranoid and doesn't want a flight on record they can delete that flight before sync lol. Not to mentions n the diagnostic value of it all the with air data (healthy drones).

The only negative I see is it only includes flights made in the Go app.
