I have a Phantom 4.  The Remote Controller runs version 1.8.  For the last two months or so, when I turn on the RC it starts beeping (repeated beeps).  As soon as I move the left joystick it stops.  It seems to function just fine otherwise.  Has anyone experienced this behaviour? Any idea why?

Hi, Is it charged? if so, your controller may need calibrating.

Hi Paul. Does the RC status LED flash red on-off too? I've experienced that one, but it stopped after I ignored it and has not re-occured. Someone suggested a faulty RC battery, but I doubt that.
Solar flares or black cat walking past perhaps?

Hi all,  Thanks for the replies.  The RC is charged.  The red status light flashes along with the beeping sound.  I will calibrate, once I find out how.

If it starts humming I hope it knows some good tunes.
