Believe or not I like how the Mavic handles the night photos in auto. I have tried playing around with the manual settings (I know what Im doing, I have been using my DSLR in manual mode for more than 10 years now) and I can't go over 1.5 second exposure without getting blur from the movement. Im not really sure why it has the option of going all the way to 8 seconds lol. I have thought about landing the Mavic somewhere to be able to do longer exposures

This is the original shot. I will be editing it again on the computer. The one I posted first was the jpg version and I edited it on my phone. I will be editing now the DNG version on my computer and should look a bit better with more definition

How did I take the picture? lol
I flew the Mavic around Downtown Miami and snapped a few shots, this one was one of the better ones. I also did a 360 which Im putting together now and will share it once its done.

On my phone I use Snapseed to edit my pics. On the computer I use Lightroom.

snapseed is killer on the phone!

Sick shot! How long was the exposure?

Wow this is cool. I'm just starting to learn about photo editing and this really inspires me to learn more.

The settings for this shot were:

Shooting mode: Manual
Focusing mode: Manual
Exposure: 1 Sec
ISO: 100
Aperture: f2.2 (can't change this)
White balance: Auto

Higher ISOs values can be used to achieve a brighter image in a shorter exposure time. This would be to avoid blurry pics due to movements of the quad, but the price for that is noise. The higher the ISO value the more noise you introduce to the photo.

This is the computer edited DNG version of the shot. Notice how much more details are seen compared to the phone edited jpg version.

You would need to make sure that there's not that much wind during the flight. If its windy then the shots might come out blurry because of movement. If this happens try increasing the iso and increasing the shutter speed to less than 1 second. Also make sure that your Mavic is well calibrated and stays in steadily in place when you're not touching the controls.
