Ive noticed there flooding the market with drones lately. Seems like every other week a new drone is released so what happens to the ones that are slowly fading away like the Phantom 3's. Are these drones going to eventually be obsolete in the future or will they still be offered for sale or can buy parts for them.  And what about prices ... will these new drone releases cause the older drones to drop in price. Look forward to your comments!

Yes - obselete. Yes - price drops. They already don't sell the P3 series anymore (US anyway).

Don't know what the law is in China, but most countries have provisions in place that makes the manufacturer responsible to provide spare parts for a certain length of time when they discontinue a product. Generally 5-7 years or something like that. So, I would think that for the phantom 3 series anyway, we should be able to buy parts for quite a while.
Naturally, with new releases it will force suppliers to reduce prices in order to move the older product. Just the way it works. We have all bought something that shortly thereafter some other model comes out and now we have as much money in our device as the new one, and ours now its worth a lot less because of it. You can't be mad, a lot of us want something so we buy it and have fun with it. You can't live in the past as far as I'm concerned. Nobody forces you to spend your money. LOL
If you want to have the latest and greatest all of the time, you have to know you will be paying for that privilege.
