What’s New?
 Added Fixed-Wing mode. For details about Fixed-Wing mode, please refer to the Intelligent Flight Mode
section in user manual v1.6.
 Added an option to turn off the remote controller low battery level warning. When battery level is less
than 15%, just press the power button on the remote controller to turn off the warning.
 Optimized Dual Remote Controller Mode. (Requires DJI GO 4 iOS v4.0.5 or later or Android v4.0.5
or later)
 Optimized No-Fly Zone Return to Home and unlocking function.
 Improved playback performance.
 Improved default colors for DNG files.
 Optimized gimbal auto-calibration.
Notes:
 Restart the aircraft and remote controller after upgrade is complete.
 If the firmware upgrade fails, restart aircraft, remote controller and DJI GO 4, and retry.

Anybody see the app drop for this yet?

I agree. Being able to choose and maintain a constant (sub-maximum) speed without having to hold the throttle at just the right place sounds like a nice feature. But after the past couple of firmware releases I'm going to wait a little while and let other folks figure out what surprises were included in this one.

See what I mean, Bunny? I always consider it a bad sign when they have to include a disclaimer like this one:

the aircraft will fly forward automatically at a certain speed after entering Fixed-Wing Mode. Push the left
stick up to ascend and down to descend. Push either stick left or right to rotate the aircraft. Pushing the
right stick up will accelerate and pushing down will exit Fixed-Wing Mode.
In the DJI GO 4 app, tap the icon
and enable Fixed-Wing Mode. Push the right stick up until the C1
icon appears, then press the C1 button on the remote controller to enter Fixed-Wing Mode. Push the right
stick down or press the C2 button on the remote controller to exit Fixed-Wing Mode.

See what I mean, Bunny? I always consider it a bad sign when they have to include a disclaimer like this one:

That warning seems to be included in all the recent firmware releases.  It makes sense since the one time I had an upgrade hang, restarting was all it took to get around the problem.

I know. I've experienced it too, and it concerns me that even something as basic as upgrading the firmware isn't reliable. It's not like Android devices or PCs where there's a lot of customization and a variety of hardware vendors: firmware upgrades should just work.

And every time I see the "Rinse. Repeat." instruction, it reminds me of the disclaimers at the end of those prescription drug commercials that inevitably end with the narrator saying something like, "Discontinue use of [medication] if you experience any of the following symptoms: dizziness, nausea, vomiting, blindness, paralysis, death, . . ."

The DJI GO4 app on the play store shows that it is updated as of today (4/11) but there is no release notes or version number for the app.  I wonder if the android crashing issues have been addressed.

 Improved default colors for DNG files sounds VERY promising.

think you have to wait for litchi - they are normally fast (2-3 days after the release)

I'm guessing not fixed since it was / is a high-profile problem and there's no mention of it in the release notes . . . but that's just speculation on my part.

by the way that update is 200MB big ... last one was just 150!

Did you notice this one? It sounds to me like it might be the RTH-from-an-NFZ you mentioned wanting not long ago:

I am hoping it will fix the auto landing/ not able to abort situation.

You want to keep the quad flying at a constant speed, like a "cruise control" in your car.

Vehicle maintains constant, predefined speed without having to maintain your foot on the pedal (finger on the stick).

It is on page 22 of the new manual, it is for smoother filming I believe.

Fixed wing sounds pretty cool. There have been times where I just need to fly straight for a while, but need to mess with my tablet screen, so I have to let off the sticks. This solves that issue

Mavic Pro User Manual v1.6

DJI GO4 4.0.6 android is available on the download page but not yet on the play store.  Still don't see release notes for the app.

I downloaded the update today, but the fixed wing mode is not an option I can find anywhere. Anyone else found it?

Yes, ideally the upgrades should be rock solid. It's a bit more tricky since there are a lot of moving parts involved in the upgrade. I am always nervous that the upgrade my brick the Mavic but fortunately, this seems to be very rare.

Updated firmware to  v01.03.0600.  No problems with update so far except app is not updated yet on playstore, so tablet will not connect to controller.  Am waiting for app update.

I've seen a lot of android users saying they are having problems with the app crashing. I've even seen a few that either made the ful switch to apple or buy a ipad mini just for their drone (nice move apple lol).

I have both a Samsung Galaxy S5 (recommended device) and a S7.  The app crashes constantly on both.  Me and 1,840 others in the Google Play store.
