1. After turning the RC, GO 4 app and Mavic on, check the startup screen and make sure everything is showing normal and you have good GPS. Then you can takeoff.
2. For new pilots who have not flown a drone before, find an open area and practise piloting the drone forward and back with the nose toward you and away from you. Do the same with the drone side on to you in both directions. Fly circuits, fly circles, fly figures of eight until it becomes second nature to adjust the flight path of the Mavic no matter which way it is facing. If you practise enough, in the event of the drone going into ATTI you will be able to correct it without thinking.
