[size=14.6667px]I bought phantom 4 pro+ (Remote Controller (Includes Display). There is a microphone hole on the controller but i didn't work.

The video is record into your aircraft sd card and with no sound, the Pro Plus build in display is for your live view.

What hole are you talking about??? There is NO HOLE for a microphone on the controller onlyHDMI, 2 USB and SD card slot...

As far as i know, there isn't any mic hole in the controller.

My understanding is DJI uses the sound track within the video to send the telemetery, so...

I have never tried it, and there may be multiple ways of doing this, but simply record to your phone or tablet (or another video recorder if you want to be in the video too) an audio track and combine in post.

I have sound recorded on the cache video files  saved on ipad when using my P4Pro - assume this is using the ipad built in mic.

Got you!!! You need to allow the app to have access to your microphone. I tried it and it was so annoying with the statics noise so I had to revoke the persmission.
