Since updating to firmware 0600 there is a gimble issue. The problem is not just a one off.  Several people are talking about it on the dji forum. On startup, the gimble is angled at 45 degrees.  Sometimes a restart will temporarily fix the problem nut after a while the gimble begins a slow tilt to 45 degree angle.  A quick fix is to snap to portrait mode and then back to landscape.  The gimble will remain level until next restart, when it will again be on a 45 degree angle.  DJI please roll out a fix for this firmwsre glitch.  Thanks !!

Yeh. Looks like that's what I'll try until they fix this problem.

I had to roll back to .550... I couldn't get a successful gimbal calibration in .600.

Same here Gimbel is not working rigte anymore went back to 0550 DJI fix plz !

Yes. Problem goes away rolling back to 550.

Waiting for DJI to comment/acknowledge a problem with latest firmware. Do they even monitor these comments?

Thanks--good to know. This pretty much confirms an issue. It would be nice to one of the DJI folks on this thread. Odd that it only affects some Mavics.

Subbing with the hope of finding out whether I can successfully calibrate my gimbal after updating to the latest firmware or if this bug is affecting all Mavics on 0600. I don't need to calibrate it right now but I'm sure I will eventually.

I have this issue as well. It happens every once in a while, on power up.
Anyone tried doing a gimbal reset through the DJI GO gimbal menu? Gonna try it and see if it helps.

It's definitely not the only problem with the .0600 firmware.
Sometimes the aircraft does not connect to the RC on power up.
I also had one or two disconnects during flight - the RC vibrates and the LCD shows the side bars filling up when reconnecting (just like on power up).
At one time, once it reconnected the aircraft was already on RTH.

Seriously thinking of downgrading to .0400, which I hear is a stable version. Any comments on that?

YEP! Kind of random. on boot up gimbal is at about 45 deg then VERY SLOWLY levels out.  First I saw it when I was using my Litchi app. But then I saw it while I was also using DJI Go 4. Then thought "I bet it's a bug tied to the 'fixed wing' mode they added!" Even though I never activated that mode.
Never tried the snapping to portrait and back to clear it though. Nice to know that it's a possible work-around for now. Thanks

I’ve been having the same issues with the gimbal on a cold start up. For me I just do a power cycle on the Mavic and the camera levels out but it does now have a slight horizon tilt to the left. Probably about 2or3 degrees, and prior to the update the horizon was spot on. I might try to roll back if a fix isn’t put out soon.

Unfortunately, i deleted the short video i made of this fault becaude at first i thought it was just a one off glitch. Then when i realised it was a firmware problem i just rolled back to .550 and now it's perfect again.  I might also add, since you are here monitoring, that as well as the 45 degree tilt, the camera would not focus properly. I don't  know if others are seeing the same thing. But anyway, rolling back to .550 fixed everything.

I reinstalled 0600 firmware and the gimble 45 degree issue returned immediately.  Calibrated everything and the issue went away for a couple of power on/off sequences but then the same issue came back but this time would not rectify itself when snapping to portrait mode.  Alarmingly, a new issue developed which I had never seen before. Gimble Shake Error.
Again i downgraded to 550 and everything is perfect again.

your video quality looks like mine after the firmware, terrible akin to a 640 VGA  resolution, and I thought it was just me.  Going to  uninstall this firmware if I can

.600 firmware is giving me gimbal problems as well. Was working great in .550. Tempted to roll back to .550.

Ahh you got to love .600 Firmware update and the silence of DJI with this release of this SHOCKING UPDATE!!!!

I am having gimbal problems to.

Not everytime I fly but far to often. On start up, the gimbal is often out of align, I have to calibrate to correct.

What I don't understand is that so many people are reporting no issues at all with version 0600.   Maybe it's just me but I even think the camera focusing is affected by 0600 as well.  As I said, version 0550 seems perfect.  I'm now wondering if certain changes to include fixed wing mode may be affecting the camera and gimble.  Interesting to see if 0650 fixes everything.

Had an issue this weekend where I powered on the Mavic and the gimbal was tilted to the right and down at a 45 degree angle. It slowly went to re-center. Recalibrated and all was well until half way through the flight, the video disconnected and the gimbal did a initialization.

2nd time it has done it since upgrading to .600.
Random when it decides to do it. The next flight was flawless (after a battery change).

Had this for the first time today. Latest GO4 app for IOS (4.0.8) and .600 firmware. First battery was fine, but when I switched to the second battery the gimbal was immediately at 45 degrees and behaved very strangely when yawing (swinging from horizontal to 45 degrees). It VERY slowly started to correct itself, but was obviously not right so I brought the Mavic back, landed and restarted it. All was then fine for the remaining flight. Not sure now whether to downgrade the firmware to .550 (I like the ability to cancel auto landing on .600) or wait for the next firmware update.

In the defence of .600 version. My horizont is much better with .600.

My horizon has been fine in .600 for multiple flights until this morning! From reading the thread and my own experience it appears to be a random problem that can often be resolved by restarting the Mavic. I'm not keen to downgrade to .550 since the gimbal issue in .600 is random but the auto landing fix is a major consideration for me.

Same here first time I get back to 0550 all worked great again but afther an update and Format the Sd card the Gimbal problem is now at 0400 and 0550 same Problems on 0600!!!!!!! Stay on 0550 when you had problems for one time and wait for 0700 ore What ever DJI is thinking to do about this Firmware nigthmare!!!!!!!!!!!

Well 0700 is here. Let's see if this fixes our problems.  I'm a bit hesitant to venture beyond 0550 at the moment.
