What devices do you guys recommend from your experience? I'm looking for a roughly 7'' tablet which is not too expensive but also not laggy.
Trying to figure out what to go for...I keep reading about android device issues with compatability, disconnects, app crashing and lag.

Thanks

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on the DJI stuff.
Is there a small Samsung tablet or similar which works well?

Having the Huawei Honor x2 or also called mediapad x2, fits nice and works just fine.
But I see now it is not so easy to get anymore.

That DJI tablet looks attractive, but super pricey for what it is.

The Shield seems to be the best Android tablet, but I would hold off on it as NVidia is releasing something new at the end of the month.  It may be a new Shield.  Since the current Shield is showing discontinued in places, this can only mean that NVidia is releasing a new one, or the entire line is discontinued.

I'm hoping it is a Tegra X1.  I am pretty sure the new Nintendo put the Tegra X1 Shield on hold, but I can't be positive.  The X1 Shield I think was ready about a year ago before Nintendo had NVidia put the kibosh on it.

FCC filing shows it existed a year ago:  http://www.fudzilla.com/news/mob ... pears-in-fcc-filing

That would be the ultimate 8" tablet.  The Tegra X1 is still far and beyond any other portable product for capability.

A lot of the Samsung tablets have been causing grief for users. There are some models that work and some that don't. I have the Samsung Tab S2 (T813 model) and I had to root and install Android 7 to finally get it to work. I Think the T810 version was working though.

I also have the Samsung Tab S2 T813 which is currently on Android 6.0.1 - I've not tried it yet...how did you mount that thing? it is huge!

I was using my Note 4 up until recently when it died. My Note 4 has just gone to Samsungs repaire centre Anovo for a third time! They sent it back still unrepaired twice.
I tried my old Note 2...the controls work in DJI go 4 but it doesn't show the live video stream from the Mavic - Maybe someone knows of a fix?

I also have an iPad mini, Amazon Kindle 7'' and various other Android devices which also don't work :/

I was tempted to get an iPad mini 4 but it is probably about time Apple came out with an update too?

I'm using the MavMount to hold the tablet. But changed the original cradle that came with that mount to a nice wide one that holds the bigger tablets so much better.

It looks great! But I've had second thoughts the last few days. I've used Litchi before. But if I had that I couldn't because it doesn't support third party apps. So that kind of sucks

That's a good point about it not supporting third party apps - I didn't know that

I'm looking for anything stable and not too big tablet wise which works now really.

Hi Doots,

Can I ask what firmware did you install when you rooted it?
I also have an S2 813 and I'm planning to do the same.
I've lost all hopes in Samsung helping us and sorting it out.

Thanks

The latest one by Lineage OS for "Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 2016 (Wi-Fi)" in their device list.

If you're looking for a Android tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 or the NVIDIA Shield, but that's more expensive these days as they've stopped making it. The iPad mini 4 is a good option, as is the iPad pro and the iPad Air 2. If you wanna see a comparison of the best DJI Go compatible tablets, you can check this one out.

I'll  probably go with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, do I need a different bracket for my remote control?

Most if not all of these tablet are useless for Dji Go4.
It's not worth using something which is no working just to end loosing your drone.

Just advertising post I think, there are a few others as well, none of them relating to DJI use really.
