Pardon my ignorance but, from videos I've watched, I can't tell if the pilot is using a device with the RC.  Or, are the controls normally associated with the attached device now in the goggles? I guess my question is, can the pilot still attach and use a device while the goggles are inline.

Goggle is wireless but you can use HDMI connection to use it as with any other device. You still need the controller and the phone/tablet.

It should because it is a software fix but they might want you to get at least a P4.
Also the goggles will only work with the INSPIRE 2, MP and P4 SERIES.

I wonder when these will come out in NZ.

Question:  It says they work with other compatible HDMI devices... If I plug it into my MacBook pro, can I watch VR 360 videos and use my head to look around? - like the oculus?

Haha. When I saw the announcement, it didn't occur to me that it'd actually be available already. I'd put it into the same class as Unicorns, the leprechaun's Pot o' Gold, and the mythical P4 firmware update.
I should have believed... :-)

Exactly, do they come with any kind of carrying case? what is included in the packaging?

So if it has a SD card slot can I also watch movies on them without another device.

Good match with fixed-wing mode.

you only can watch video recorded from DJI, not a movie copy into SD card

And how do they manage that? if it's simply playing back .mov or mp4 files, how can it restrict them to DJI created only?
