Is GPS metadata added to the video?

I searched around and saw some people showing GPS as subtitles on video and such, but I was wondering if anyone knows if it is actually in the metadata of the video file. If so, is it just at the beginning like a phone's video or is it inserted onto the frames?

You can optionally put it in the SRT file which can then be optionally overlaid on your video as subtitles by many decent video players.

I am not certain of this, but I think I saw recently where the SRT files are not produced by the later Phantoms, so the data must be in the MP4 metadata.

Works fine on my P4, and it is the only way to check the camera exposure settings for video so it would be a shame to loose it.  Fairly sure I've seen it for P4P too, although maybe with slightly different info.  P4 info looks like:

HOME(-6.4493,55.3073) 2017.04.15 10:28:26
GPS(-6.4492,55.3073,18) BAROMETER:16.6
