Uploading and Loding Picture ...(0/1)

Having read the forums and multiple youtube videos with similar issues, I went ahead and refreshed the firmware, redid IMU calibration 2x, Gimbal calibration 2x, reset camera settings 5 x and im still getting very blurry pictures and video.

Any other suggestions before I open a case?   Not able to upload photos without compressing them which would defeat the purpose.

Tbh, I checked your pictures and nothing is blurry, what you do see, is the very VERY bad JPG compression/algorithme DJI uses. This is absolute crap, sorry not other word for it. I hope they will produce better JPGs in the future.

Check your RAWs (I shoot JPG + RAW) and the raws containg a lot more detail, but also a lot more noise that you need to reduce in post-processing. But the results are a lot better. Don't forget, you are taking pictures on a smartphone sensor...

My initial thoughts:
This looks rather like wrong picture-style-settings than like a hardware failure. Especially the low-light photos got blurry because of high ISO and with long shutterspeed combined with a littlebit wind or gimbal-movement this is exactly what you get.

on the second glance:
I have checked the picture parameter ISO 100 and 1/320s shutterspeed should be good for sharp pictures. But your pictures are indeed very blurry. I have inspected the upper corners of the picture because they are very blurry - and it feels like you have one of the faulty camera-modules.

You can try to take some pictures under good light conditions with the Mavic sitting on a table (not flying!) to verify this.

fully reset drone and updated to current firmware.  Reset camera again.

Images are still totally unusable.

Also, I am now getting a hard 'jerk' when letting go of the forward control and getting a gimbal overload error.  I also could not move the gimbal for a minute or two until I landed and powered off and back on.

Could you please look at these?  I factory reset the mavic, updated to current firmware and tested again.  all photos are unusable.

I just checked my own JPG pictures and they are indeed blurry as yours. So, this might have to do with the worst JPG engine I've ever seen. Luckily I am a photographer and know how to handle DNG files and raw-convert them by my own. The Details are much better and the picture is crisp sharp.

Looked at the tennis court ones, didn't even bother with jpg. But they aren't in focus. Manually focus is all, should be fine. That other set been compressed to 1-2mb each.

They are all named DJI_000X.DNG which is the default.  What do you mean?

My mistake.  I used google photos to upload.  I forgot that google photos compresses images.  I will re-upload using google drive.

I see the mistake.  I used google photos instead of google drive to upload.  I am re-uploading to google drive now.

Is the firmware up to date? If the firmware is up to date and still no improvement, I'd suggest you to send it in for further evaluation.

You know that looks about right for the mavic 1 shot. Manually focus and set shutter. Set raw hdr in go, it takes multiple photos and combines them, the picture looks a bit cleaner to me. That's the only way I shoot or you could try the brackets and combine them in post.

It takes a lot of post work to make a mavic picture look good imo. It's not a point and click, have people drooling over the photo. I mainly shoot video with it, seems to be its wheelhouse.

Yes, the firmware is up to date.    What is the approx turnaround time if I did not purchase the DJI Refresh?
