It looks like there are two brightness levels for Crystal Sky - 1000 nits and 2000 nits. I think most cellphone max out at 700nits which is why I have a hard time flying and determining proper exposure. Has anyone out there figure out if 1000 nits is sufficient or if 2000 nits would be better. I would like the 1000 nits since I dont want a 7" screen.

I use the P4P+ screen and believe it is MUCH, MUCH better than any pad or phone on the market so I guess If you don't to spend more money or you don't want the 7" then the 5.5" would work great for you!

Thanks! So you have used it under bright sun and you didn't have issues looking at the screen?

Not whatsoever. I use the P4P+ in sunny days and the P4P if I need to use a table in a cloudy day. You won't believe the difference!

Get the 2000 nit. The 1000 is nice like on the P4P+, but it is still a pain on bright days. There is still a tiny bit of reflection & that boost in brightness would definitely make it a worthy daylight display.

Why not future-proof it as much as possible?

Good point. I would like something fast and the 5" is available for preorder now. But yes thanks for your insight. It is good to know even with 1000 there is still left to be desired.
