USB Type C and Thunderbolt 3.0 offer a power output of 20 volts and 5 amps (100 watts). The power output of a standard AC charger for a Mavic battery is 13.05 volts and 3.83 amps (50 watts) We drone enthusiasts always need to charge up and convenience is key. Electronics worldwide are accepting USB-C. USB-C chargers are become accessible everywhere for cheap. This is includes chargers for AC outlets, 12V outlets (cigarette lighter) and PORTABLE battery powered chargers. In the past USB 2.0 could only charge light hand held electronics but things are changing now. USB-C can charge laptops and other large portable electronics. My thought is that it would be awesome if DJI were to release an adapter that would allow for us to charge with the convenience of USB-C which means we could charge from any power source supporting it. That also means we could charge our drone batteries from a portable power source like the ones we use for our phones when we're in the middle of nowhere or on rthe move. I know you can buy a car charger but going about with USB-C would give us more freedom to keep flying. Any thoughts? Let's make this thread popular enough for DJI to consider it.
