The problem arose after I kept getting interference warning flying over the same spot, interference warning asking to move antennas, I am well aware of the dangers of of flying close to RF sources and other potential interference sites. So knowing the spot and the fact it was on my land and no danger to anyone only my Mavic, I tried flying over with antennas at 90 deg at 45 deg and horizontal also with what should be weakest tips pointing at AC , so each time same warning strong magnetic interference move antennas.
I did exactly same test with P4Pro same positions with antennas, no warnings.
So I'm none the wiser, but I do know that Mavic or RC seems to be more susceptible to interference, how much interference it would take to get a reaction I haven't got that far. Yet.....
Maybe you can get a magnetometer to check out that area. Are you located near mountains, flat plains, iron ore deposits, or better yet magnetite (magnetic iron deposits). However, the drone is probably affected by reception that interferes with the radio frequencies it is working on.
I was next to a container (shipping/truck) that my brother had on the property to keep his equipment in as he improves the land for a future home. about 150 ft away ran a rural road with transformers about every 5th pole. I had to move away from the container because the metal affects the compass (magnetic interference) and the transformers were probably emitting all kinds of RF in any number of frequencies. I was flying OK until I went to about 70 feet from the transformer next to his access road. At that point video went to crap; streaks, pink areas, scrambled, etc. That is when I lost control. RTH kicked in an brought the drone back and I manually landed it. |
