I kept getting RC connection failures during flight last night so into trouble shooting mode I went.

It was the the first time I used my phone case on the phone, but to do so, I also used a different cable and plugged into the USB port on the bottom of the controller--and I just upgraded firmware--so, there were variables to deal with.

I use a rockform case becasue it mounts to an adapter on my bicycle--I had forgotten it uses a strong rare earth magnet in the case as a secondary mount.

Take the magent out, seems to be working fine--so, I am going to go with the theory that a strong rare earth magnet 1 inche from the controller is not a good idea.

As the title says--magnets in strange places.

The way the sticks for the remote work is by magnetic sensors. So Im sure that any magnets around the controller are a no no lol

You could take a look at this post. It might shed some light on what actually is going on.
