Hi All,

Simple question

Do you need the HDMI output module to run the goggles or can it just be connected into the RC?
they are confusing me... One says i do and the other says i dont

Per the Goggle's FAQ under "connectivity" :

3. What DJI drones are compatible with the DJI Goggles through USB cables?
Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4 Advanced, and Inspire 2.
The HDMI module will not be needed for your unit.

In sum, the devices above will have access to the new intelligent flight modes that correspond to the goggles. Any other unit that connect via the HDMI (if you had it) would not have access to those functions.

Aloha Zaunz,

What goggles do you have in mind?  DJI-Jamie is talking about the DJI Goggles.  There are numerous other goggles out there that also work with the P4 Pro.  Each one can have a different hook-up.

     Hope this helps!

Aloha and Drone On!

It does sound like you lose the capability to connect a tablet when you use the DJI goggles with a P4/P4P with USB. If you want to share the view (as recommended), but use a tablet as the pilot, you will need to use the HDMI port. If I am incorrect on this, please let me know.

Goggles beside the DJI goggles you would need the HDMI INPUT unit.

I think you meant HDMI output so it can go into the goggles. Unless they've released an Input module while I was napping

If you're flying LOS, a spotter wouldn't necessarily need a feed. I you do want them to have that live view as well, then you can use the HDMI module in that case.
