That's a loaded question... either will work although it appears that Android version 6 works the best. Android 7 (Nougat) is to be avoided for the time being until it's fixed. I'd go personal preference.  

I use iPad pro 9.7 its great but if i had the choice back then i would have waited for crystalsky although it is expensive $700 for 1000 nit 7.85 but from what we have been reading it looks like best option out there for flying, it is expected to be released Anyday now. i don't think there is a better tablet.

Capo means if you're using Android, then Android 6 would be your best bet right now. Look at the most recent/powerful device you can get, of course. An iPad/iPhone of the most recent couple generations should work quite well also.

I love my iPad Pro 9.7".  I have to use a sun shade, but it's got a great image.
