It downloads the firmware, it instructs me to connect my mobile device to the drone.  When I do that nothing happens except it says disconnected from Drone on my DJIpro4 application on my Mini Ipad.

I have tried using the update assistant on my pc and it says it cannot list the firmware upgrades.

Pliease help.

Could you verify what firmware versions are currently on your unit? What Go app version are you running?

Could you please clarify which Phantom model you have and your current firmware version?

Try using the supplied cable and connect to your Phantom.
