I am wanting to use some FPV goggles with iphone inside and an ipad. The goggles for an observer to see the action, the ipad for me to use as a controller. I have searched high and low for info on how to achieve this but no luck. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Many thanks

Mike

Not sure that can be done unless you have some machine to machine screen projection capabilities ala Windows 10. Not sure if Apple devices can do that. Best option is get an HDMI module and HDMI compatible goggles.

As far as I know, Capo is right on the spot. iOS devices can airplay, but only to the AppleTV ( https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204289 ).

If you want to mirror the iPad screen to an iPhone running as the screen for FPV goggles you need to use the HDMI module (the same that one can add to a P3 or P4 will also work on the P4P remote  - http://store.dji.com/product/phantom-3-hdmi-output-module  ) and connect the iPhone to it (And run your goggles's App). Of course, as Capo noted, your goggles must have an HDMI input.

Are you sure that the phone can do HDMI input? Most won't.

Oh-ho... You are totally right. I remembered that iPad and iPhone can use the "Lightning Digital AV Adapter - Lightning to HDMI"  BUT forgot that it is just to mirror what is on your device's screen to an external screen, so  it's a HDMI OUTPUT, not an INPUT...  Also, I thought all goggles use HDMI  so the phones would too (I'm not an FPV guy)  Sorry for the mistake!

I do apologise I should have included those details. I have 3pro with HDMI  module and a 4pro which of course shouldn't need one. I am just trying to give ground based folk a view from the air. To some extent it is not vital as I can use my eyes to pilot the aircraft, and so long as I can here important details like from Litchi which I also have.
