I'm having a nightmare trying to update the Mavic Pro firmware using the desktop assistant app on my iMac.  Someone suggested using the phone is the way to go; but I'm baffled at how to connect the phone to the Mavic Pro?

I have two short cables, one is a lightening cable and connects the phone to the RC; but this wont fit the Mavic Pro slot?

The other is a Type C, for connecting to a MacBook, so not much use for my iPhone.

I feel I'm missing something obvious?  Any ideas?

just turn everything on, like you want to fly. connect your iphone to the remote, turn on the mavic, turn on the remote, wait for the connection. open the dji  go 4 app - select the mavic and go on enter device. somewhere along the way it will promt you the firmwareupgrade.

Turn on the remote and the drone. Then, connect the iPhone to the remote as you do to fly. When you go in the app, it prompts you to update the firmware.

Make sure you have full battery on the remote, drone and iPhone. It can take 15-20 minutes.

thanks, for others struggling with this, in the video it says connect mavic to phone, it means via the RC transmission, not physically.
