Hi,
Like many other people I suffered from the FW update problem. First I was wondering should I sent it back? Is it broken?
After reading many topics I decided not to. Don't want to wait 6-8 weeks.
Than I read about the 'downgrade to 0350-record-and upgrade' trick. Asked DJI support to put 0350 in my list, but it was not there after one day.
Still anxious to get it flying (have 0 min in the air after 5 days...) I wanted to try update from 0550 to 0700 with 'record on'.
Below all done with Assistant 2:
First config/attempt:
COMPUTER---USB cable---RC---wireless---UAV (and record on, so REC is blinking, no Android device connected): failed few times
Second config/attempt:
COMPUTER---USB cable---UAV (and record on, so REC is blinking, no Android device connected): failed one time
Third config/attempt:
COMPUTER---USB cable---UAV (and record on, so REC is blinking, no Android device connected) --but this time I unplugged the UAV at around 57% and switched it back on the plugged in USB again. It continued, and it finally worked!! I was at 0700!!!
Then I switched off UAV, connected COMPUTER---USB cable---RC and updated the RC to 0700. Finally both are at 0700.....
Maybe this can help some users or DJI support.
No sweat! It is easy! Took me only about 25 attempts spread accross 4 days!
My hope is that future updates will not cost me 4 days again...
Now I know for sure I don't have to return the unit so I can start flying it!
