I think Mavic was announced way too early to thwart the Karma.

I wonder if there will ever be a firmware update to allow for 60fps... or if that is even something a firmware update can improve.

Hi fellow quad flyers!

I have a question,  I like to buy the spark (without the remote) but I have my existing P3 advanced remote.  Will the spark able to bind with the P3 remote?

Thanks!

No. The Spark will only be able to be used with the Spark Remote, smart device, or in Selfie Mode.

Sorry, no chance of this (or most other) drones following a bike except in flat and treeless terrain. The Spark is a new low cost drone for basic and selfie use.

What you are asking for is quite technical and out of reach still.

Thanks for posting this. I still can't believe what our engineers packed into such a small drone.

I have the P3S and frequently the app crashes on me during flight, a common problem with the current firmware for the P3S. If this happened with the Spark, how would you control it when the app crashes?

A couple times while flying my Phantom I have been knocked off GPS and into "attitude" mode where I must control the drone with the RC controller or the wind will make it crash. What happens if the Spark gets knocked off GPS?

I do not believe that they are as prepared as you think.   I was already told my green combo will be delayed till July.   This is likely just the first delay.

Bummer? Was looking at airdog or hexo+ but wanted to hold off until a more reputable Manufacturer came into play i.e DJI..

Oh well....thanks anyways...

Maybe, but this time is a lot better than last time, let's see if they can quickly tune their production line and keep a steady production rate as soon as possible.

Just a quick question regarding RTH in the spark. In the manual it says obstacle avoidance doesn't work outside 100 meters when returning home,
My question is when you have reached inside 100 meters on your RTH will it now work ?
This is not very clear in the manual would be grateful if you could get any information on this.

Watched so many YouTube clips on the Spark already and have a question.

When using gesture control to "wave" the Spark away after it takes off from palm, will it crash into overhanging tree branches as it flies backwards and upwards since its crash avoidance sensors are forward and downward facing?

Or is there some truly magical algorithms or magic that will make it stop based on the available sensors on board?

if there is a tree or wall or something else in the way, it will most likely run into it if it is too close. With that in mind, I'd say its better to be safe than sorry, so always make sure you have a lot of open space whenever you're using gesture controls.

I've seen some clips of people getting their Spark to follow them in forested pathways so was wondering how did they get their SPark to follow and capture them from that angle to start with.

Perhaps using a controller to position the Spark at a suitable height then use active track ?
