I video every flight. On longer flights, the resulting videos are splt into multiple parts at about 9 minutes. Why is this and is there a way to make it not split?
I shoot everything at 4K.
Because the file system used cannot handle anything larger than 4Gb files. It has to split them up.. There is no way around this. On the P4P the files are around 5 minutes long (higher bit rate)..
My problem is that it seems to lose maybe 4-6 frames on the stop and resume with the 4GB limitation. Never have been able to get a clean splice. Have to re-fly and try and maintain a flight less than 8 minutes with the P4.

That makes sense as it traces back to limits of FAT32 and exFAT file limitations. Its easy to forget this part...

Yeah I have noticed this too. Thankfully with the Pro they figured out how to do it without that limitation.
It's not DJI that programs the 4gb limit, it is the file system that limits it. NTFS file system can have unlimited gb, but unfortunately the P4 cannot handle that file system.
