I have flew this drone twice after upgrading from my AEE toruk pro, but both times it has kicked in to return home mode once I exceed 230 ft or so.  All firmware is up to date.  Any ideas?

antenna position and flying nearly straight overhead are poor combinations.  The rod antenna needs to be close to vertical, that makes the signal in the shape of a donut, weakest point is directly overhead.  Fly out 50 or so yards and see what happens.

See post 2.  When the AC is overhead, the antennas are always aligned incorrectly unless you did some creative modding to the bird.
