Obviously, those of you thinking 200 meters, or even 500 meters is high enough, aren't flying professionally under part 107. It is perfectly legal to fly 400 feet above any structure, antenna tower, bridge, cliff, , hill, mountain. If the antenna etc is 2,000 feet high, you can fly to 2,400 feet as long as you remain within 400 feet horizontally. Several of the questions on the UAS pilot's license test relate to this scenario. DJI has arbitrarily set the 500 meter limit, and now a 200 meter one apparently.
yes your 100% correct, but you are getting now into another area of problems " the line of sight " or your eyes are that good :-) there are only two waivers granted at this time you might be one of them? |
