When I go to auto launch, it says go to 3.5 feet or something like that, yet my Mavic goes up about 10-15 ft. Not sure why the initial hover is higher than the setting.

I usually take off manually. I tried the auto take off today and was a bit panicked when it went up rapidly to 15-20 feet!

Are you noticing this right out of the box, or is it after a firmware update or hard landing?

A normal auto takeoff will go to 1.2mts and if the precision check box is tapped then it will go to 6mts.

This is a replacement Mavic.  My old one used to only go up 3 and a half feet or so then hover.  I was wondering if there is a way to change this setting.  10-15 feet is too high.  I don't always do automatic take off, but when I do, I'd rather not have it go that high initially.

That's what it is.  I was also hitting precision take off.

No, it's not configurable. Does the number displayed for (AGL) height seem more or less accurate? In other words, when it ascends to 10-15 feet above the ground, is the height displayed on your mobile device somewhere in that range? If not, you probably have a faulty barometer and will need to get a warranty replacement.

I'll have to try it without precision take off to see if that is it.  The height seems about right on the mobile device.
