Yes, meters -- hence the "m" at the end of each range of numbers.

When answering I was assuming "How far have I flown it from myself, the pilot", and not the total flight distance of all flights combined. I never fly it out of line of sight. Part for safety (I don't want to crash it or lose it), and because it's not allowed by law here. Meaning I've never gone over 200-300 meters before it becomes such a small thing it's not/barely visible.

What are these "meter" things you're talking about?

Meters are things the people who do not live in Trump-controlled-territory use to measure distance.
To be honest, there are a few other odd countries who measure with feet, yards, or other strange things. I mean: 1 mile is a strange amount of feet or an weird amount of yards. While working with meters it's simply going up or down in steps of 10 to reach other larger or smaller units like centimeters (cent=100, thus 100 centimeters is 1 meter), or kilometers (kilo=1000, thus 1000 meter is 1 kilometer). I find that easier to remember than the random amounts of 5280 feet in a mile, or 1760 yards. Which I both had to Google because, seriously, who does remember that? And where does it come from?
Then again, I'm born and raised in a country that uses the metric system instead of yards, feet, or miles. So that's why meters makes more sense to me.

US military also uses Metric - given it's a far more accurate measure.

I have flown 3618 meters distance from myself but only over the sea because of the safety conserns.  If Mavic will take a swim then i'ts presumably my fault :/
I'm not going to try that over land.

When I visited  the USA (big and beautiful) I thought they had rather "slow" petrol pumps compared to my country, just to realize later that they measure in GALLON not LITER. {:4_177:} What is also confusing is that US gallon is different than UK gallon.

Yeah, but then what do you do your fractions in?  Huh, answer me that if you can!  HA!

Johnny walked 1/2 the way to school, but Bobby had to walk 7/16th of the way.  How much further did Bobby walk if the school is 5 km from Johnny's and 9/32nd further then Bobby's house?

We use cms, mms, etc... as in, 1m52cm

Which makes you calculation easier, faster, and more precise.

Hello hallmark, Well its all a bit of a cock up really, we used to be totally imperial until we got involved with Europe! after which we changed some things to metric ie pounds and pence, measurements went from feet and inches to metres and CM and from gallons to litres, But we kept miles not kilometres! the worst thing for me as a builder is everything used to be made and built in imperial but now everything is made metric like building materials, so if your doing repairs or alterations to an old building that was built imperial it Sucks using metric materials! also a sheet of plasterboard is metric so you set the studs out in a new wall to suit but if you want to you plywood also it only comes in imperial as it comes from the US or south america so have to cut it down to fit!

I just did a 10,030 meter flight, looks like for me max flight distance is acheived in sport mode at aprox 36 mph, batt draw at lower left shows aprox 35% and can get just over 6 miles  round trip
this batt has been cycled 41 times.

Had to overide RTH at 43% batt remaining. Made it back with 13% batt

Just did a little over 24,000 feet today. Barely made it back with 2%. Screen looks blank because I turned away from the direction of the drone briefly. Signal never got weak all the way up to the 24,000 foot mark.

Imperial, metric, etc. are just number systems. Has nothing to do with accuracy or precision.

However, metric is certainly more logical.

Am I reading this correctly, 12132.1 m = 39803 feet? This would have to have mods correct?

I went even further without a mod and could have gone further still.  12739m, flight time 18:12.
