Hey everyone!

Is there a way to make paths between waypoints straight, not curved?

I'm running DJI Fly on iPad Mini 6.

There is currently no option for this in the settings...

It seems to be based on POI for camera. I wonder if before setting point two you turn the drone from point 1 to look at point 2 and then turn it again before moving to look at points.

Changing heading doesn't affect the curvature

wow, the biggest complaint about the autel mission (waypoints) is the paths are straight and not curved.  i should also add that straight on the autel mission means the drone must pause as it cannot immediately shift directions; not sure how it would ultimately get implemented on dji.  personally i prefer curved for the cinematic look.  i believe there are plans for autel to switch from straight to curved in a future release.

in the meantime, the best way to overcome these minor differences is to make your waypoint adjustments appropriately and then fix everything in post.

That is a good option to add in waypoints settings. Curved or straight. If DJI adds this option then it will be much easier to do mapping missions.

You can "export" your flight plan, import it into DJI Flighthub 2, change the lines from curved to straight, export it and import it back into DJI Fly.
A bit cumbersome, but it should work.
Alternatively you can create the flight plan in Flighthub 2 to begin with.

Thanks for the advice! I've seen this solution on YouTube, but the guy on video used the Android device for DJI Fly. I tried this hack with my iPad mini and it doesn't work.

Can be really nice to add this option for creatives hyperlapses, please DJI

I tried it but it doesn’t work at all. Route seems straight but mixed with curved route.

Maybe they closed this loophole somehow. You still can manually change it in the wpml-file but only for certain turn parameters.
