Hmm. The attraction of the open road has always been more about where it leads, than anything else

Nice one,   better without all that traffic for sure.

Interesting shot.    That's a lot of lanes for traffic.  No doubt they are all needed during morning and afternoon commutes.

We just went through an expansion about 10 years ago and it still seems like we need more lanes.

Facing the sun is the Goethals bridge to Newark NJ. In the other direction is the Verrazano Bridge to Brooklyn, NY.There are 4 bridges on Aten Island. The others are the Bayonne to NJ and the Outerbridge crossing to NJ.

Be careful or you'll end up in the same sad shape as the California roads.  My son was out there for a month and he said it was nothing to sit in stop and go traffic on the freeway for over 3 hours just to go a mile away.  I couldn't put up with that.  I guess that is why I live just outside the city in what I call  my country estate.  Not really an estate but I have my boat and 125 acres of woods all to myself.

Well, there's less to know
I checked the figures.  New York State covers about 54,500 square miles.
Whereas the whole of England is only 50,000 square miles.
Astonishing.

Too bad you can't fly all the way to the photoshoot and avoid traveling all together.  Yeah, I know that is not possible but would neat if you could.

I do funeral tributes for a funeral home two blocks from my house. I would love to get a drone that can deliver them. That would be fun. I could just send the usb drive.

I am almost out of new areas to shoot on Staten Island so I am unfortunately well aware. But there is always something we can find in our travels.

I jst found a harness for the Air 2 that lets you drop packages up to 500 grams. I may try dropping off the usb drives to the home.
