If it was only SD card placement as an advantage I'd buy Avata 2 anyway but it isn't there more at least on paper for now as my local dealer will have them next week

Because in Europe the Avata 2 has a speed limitation to 19m/s, even in acro mode, for having the C1 label. The feeling of immersion is annoying by stupid regulations

You forgot the option for "Both".

Avata 2 is better in every way other than 19m/s speed limit in acro in EU - which 1) can be worked around cheap if you really need it and 2) I don't personally need as N/S modes cover most of my use cases since having a hw-stabilised pitch on camera is one of main advantages of Avata over regular cinewhoops imo. I can use any other FPV drone if I need more acro power.

So definitely Avata 2 for me. I loved the first version but I had a few complaints, 99% of which were fixed with the new one.

After 50+ flights and 4+ h in the Air with Avata 2 I can confirm - it's a serious upgrade over Avata in all directions especially camera and flight time and distance (Not to mention SD card slot )

That's another thing about the original avata it sounds horrible.
